Naturally Occurring Retirement Community
Wednesday, April 13, 2016
11:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Karen Berry-Elbert, MSW is the manager of the St. Louis region’s only Naturally Occurring Retirement Community, or NORC. St. Louis NORC is a non-sectarian program that supports the healthy aging of adults 65+ in their own homes by providing opportunities for meaningful community involvement and increased access to support services. Managed by Jewish Federation, St. Louis NORC operates within a three-mile service neighborhood in the Creve Coeur area. In 2011, St. Louis NORC opened its on-site programming (health and wellness, educational, cultural workshops, and bus outings) to anyone in the 65+ age group who has an interest in learning, meeting new people, and exploring some of the cultural institutions in our community.
