May 2016 Luncheon

Great Rivers Greenway

Friday, May 20, 2016
11:30 AM - 1:30 PM

In celebration of National Bike Month, Mark Vogl and Elizabeth Simons of Great Rivers Greenway will give an update on the expanding network of multi-modal greenways that are connecting the St. Louis region. Great Rivers Greenway is the regional parks and trails district created in 2000 by a vote of the people in St. Louis City, St. Louis County and St. Charles County, and is charged with building a network of greenways that let us all explore our rivers, parks and communities. More than just a trail, each greenway is unique with neighborhoods, businesses, parks and rivers to explore. Mark and Elizabeth will speak about the 2016 update to the Regional Plan as well as projects in partnership with municipalities, agencies, non-profits and residents to make St. Louis a more bicycle-friendly region.
